Maxim Kelly
I am the Executive Headteacher of three schools in the Isle of Man – Laxey School, Willaston School, and Scoill Yn Jubilee which is a large split-school school in the Island’s capital city, Douglas.
Maxim has been involved in working with children and families for all of his working life in the Isle of Man, a career which has spanned all age ranges, including being a youth-worker dealing with teenagers, and a practitioner in a pre-school nursery. He has worked in infant schools, junior schools and primary schools, held four deputy headships and is currently in his fourth headship acting as the substantive headteacher to three schools in the Isle of Man. In addition, Maxim was a director at the Isle of Man Children’s Centre for over a decade and was part of the team that commissioned the IOMCC’s involvement and development of the community farm, the expansion of residential care homes and the fostering and adoption service. Maxim has served as a member of the Fostering Panel in the Isle of Man, and acts as an “Inclusion Assessor” in schools across the UK and internationally.
